Q & A

Meet Duke

What is your style?

My style is a combination of photojournalistic, candid and artistic.

Where are you located?

I am located in Saratoga Springs, New York but always up for a road trip or flight to cover your shoot or big day.

What are your Photography Specialties?

I have photographed a little bit of everything throughout the years. From corporate fundraisers, families, headshots, food and real estate I have ventured down a lot of different avenues. Although I now primarily focus on Higher Ed and Weddings/Elopements I still cover an array of photography needs. Please feel free to reach out to see some examples and to discuss them further.

How long have you been a professional photographer?
Seven years, I can't believe it! Although I have always been interested in art and photography, what started as a passion turned into a career.

Who are your clients in Education?

I worked for St. John's University for four years in the Marketing and Communications department as their campus photographer. Since starting my own business in 2016 some of my ongoing clients are listed below.
Columbia Business School
Stony Brook University
The New School
John Jay College of Criminal Justice
St. John's University
Sacred Heart Academy
Dominican Academy

What is your photography background?
I assisted a wedding company in Ireland while getting my Masters degree at NCAD in 2012. I then began working with a college as a campus photographer in 2013 and started to do some smaller weddings, family shoots, real estate, food and whatever came my way. After deciding to start my own business in 2016 I left the university and began freelancing with several schools around NYC while also working with a Long Island, NY wedding studio in 2017. When I moved to Puerto Rico I continued to work with my clients in NY and also had the chance to freelance with one of the most beautiful hotels on the island, the Dorado Beach Ritz Carlton.

How much do you charge?
Prices vary depending on the project and what it includes. Weddings have print costs, editing, assistants and second shooters just to name a few aspects involved. Higher ed shoots have extensive editing and research to take into account. In general a full wedding day package starts at $3,500 and includes an album. I think it is so important to have something from your wedding day whether that is just prints or an album with quality photo labs. For event coverage hourly rates start at $250/hr.

Do you have insurance?

Yes! I am fully insured and my business is an LLC. If your venue needs documentation I can provide it.

I hope I could answer some questions for you. If you need any other information please don't hesitate to reach out!
